large local pub with decent garden area, pool & darts tucked nicely into a corner, food is cheap and cheerful, beer is cheaper than most in the area and usually good enough, we visited on a saturday evening and the pub always puts on free entertainment, we saw a blues quartet, think cream crossed with janis joplin, they were excellent and the pub was just full enough for a great atmosphere, for a cheap and cheerful saturday night out the red scores well

my wifes social group ( friends ! ) visited the chestnut tree in dec 09 for a pre booked, menu pre selected xmas lunch.
when they got there the pub hadn't got what they had ordered six weeks earlier, so all six people had to select other menu options, when the food arrived, all courses at different times, much of what was served was either cold or of poor quality, following some complaints the manager offered some free wine and some money off when they return next. i doubt they will return to take up the offer, i leave it to you to decide if this pub is worth trying, but if you receive the same poor service, you were warned !

i've used westside for a few years now ( since wednesfield taxis went down the pan ) and have only been let down once or twice during very busy periods ( you are advised of any delay ) the fares are reasonable and the cars generally clean, the drivers professional too.

i had a watch battery fitted in a divers watch recently, taking the "lifetime" replacement deal ( pay a little more and the shop will replace the battery and service the watch and seals for the life of the watch ). the shop is small and the fellas inside busy, they were very helpful though..timpsons are big on customer service and it shows...recommended

i picked up a tag regatta watch recently in goldsmiths sale and was pleased with all aspects of the service, price, customer service and any questions i had were answered expertly.....recommended

this travesty of a bar sits on the old exchange pub, ( much loved and missed by town drinkers ) this place was designed by someone who'd been over to the mailbox in brum for a night out and got really excited, overpriced, awful beer, tepid atmosphere, nothing of real substance on offer and the real treat, woeful service, myself and my partner craggy were served by a "young" woman who was more interested in getting picked up for the night than taking our order.......AVOID !

the castle in wednesfield has always been a decent pub going to the eighties when snowy had it, it benefitted from an extensive refit a few years ago, clean and tidy throughout, good beer, family friendly, if in wednesfield you would be better of here than the high street pubs

this is wolves best indian takeaway, they deliver to surrounding areas quickly too.
its been open some years now and i've tryed at least 10 other takeaways in the wolves area and none score on price, quality and service like the spice balti...no more sat night lottery on which indian to order from.
ps the jaipuri lamb is splendid

A sizzling steak pub so don't ask chrissy hynde or morrisey along with you. A fuss free relaxed place with good service and pretty decent fodder.
The menu could do with more variety for the herbivores in the family though.
The beer was fine and surprisingly not overpriced, its more a place to take your gran on her birthday than a place to wow kate moss.

an american style sandwich shop offering freshly made subs and bagels, only small inside but the service is sharp and geared towards lunchtimes so you won't wait too long for your order.
the food is pretty good and prices are reasonable, as you'd expect from an american influenced outfit the food is made to your specification and thats never a bad thing, the coffe is much better than the costa alternative too.
