I went with a few friends and we had a gelish manicure for a friend's wedding and it chipped within 12 hours. Knowing I wasn't going to be near York again I tried a local salon to get it fixed, but they couldn't match the colour so I had to stay with progressively chipping nails. I contacted the salon by email the day after the wedding but got no response. When I called to follow up on my email I was met with aggression and blame and was told it was "unacceptable" to call a week later about the issue. Despite explaining that I would have called but their website said they were closed so I emailed and subsequently also pointing out that they had then ignored this email, the staff continued to say that I was in the wrong and there was nothing they were prepared to do. I have never received such terrible customer service or spoken to someone so unwilling to make an effort to deal rationally with a customer about an issue. Having spent over £130 between us in this salon, "disappointed" and "bad service" don't event begin to cover my experience.
