The staff are the best thing about this place!

I think the title says it all!!!
On the evening we dined there were 2 staff on an older lady who was obviously in charge and a (very cute!) young man who seemed inexperienced, but very willing to help! The lady advised us on the extra choices available (soup fish etc) so we chose the soup YUM! it was lovely and served with bread (dissapointing shop bought!!) I would have thought a restaurant of this acclaimed quality would have made their own! Well anyway, the mains Fishpie (all in 1 pot!) was okay, but just that. The steak was perfectley cooked, but spoiled by over cooked chips and the seasonal veg (carrots, brocolli and cauliflower) were a bit common place!!
The food was acceptable, but not for the prices charged!
The whole experience would have been pretty average had it not been for the attentive service.
