It’s awful how the management treat a customer who has taken the time to book online and follow up in person to confirm that the booking has no mistakes.

Having booked for 3 adults and two children with two high chairs, under cover, i called straight away to make sure that our booking would be under cover, just in case it rained. I was assured it would be.

We arrived to be told to sit in the rain with two babies. I explained the lengths I had been to to avoid this, but the manager was dismissive, telling us that there were no tables under cover and that everyone wanted a table under cover. I explained we had called to confirm in advance, but he repeated it and didn’t apologise, expecting us to sit with our babies in the rain.

To make it worse, a family queuing behind us that were clearly friends of the manager were ushered in past us by his assistant as she said “shhhh follow me” and sat the family under cover.

Shame on you mediocre Wicked Lady management

What a poor service that almost ruined our night..

We booked 2 months in advance, paid a deposit and received confirmation. This was for a family celebration for a birthday, so were relying on the minibus to meet our restaurant reservation. We called after the bus did not arrive and were told "oh, it's on the way".... the "oh" told me they had forgotten us. We received a text 15 mins later saying it was on the way. Another text 2 minutes later told us the driver was caught in traffic..... We called them to be told that there was a tyre problem... - get your story right, credibility now shot.... Another call in 10 mins tells us we won't see a minibus for another 40 mins (by now an hour later than booked) We told them this was not acceptable and made them send taxis. Taxis arrived 20 mins later and we arrived at our meal an hour late, with other friends sat waiting.

The icing on the cake was a text message saying that although they made us late, they could not pick us up an hour later and that we would have to wait 2 hours! Suffice to say, we told them to forget it and booked three taxis home.

Had they have fessed up and admitted they forgot us, i would have accepted an apology. As it stands, to forget us, to then lie, and lie and lie again and then not remedy the situation by picking us up an hour later (after they made us an hour late), is just, as my review is titled, 'simply shocking'.
