Excellent Classic looking Deep Flow Gutters by ONE TECH
5
Outstanding guttering by a trustworthy, friendly company who we both heartily can recommend. We have replaced several wooden gutters, first the back gutter & fall pipe. Then recently Matthew replaced our leaking wooden guttering at the front of our home. We both love the Deep Flow gutters with E-Trays that are designed to cope with any downpour! It's a top range product. Matthew told us that the wood had rotted & needed a back board, which he painted to match the new gutter. On inspection his work matches our 1900 house and gives it a classic look. He is brilliant and he has received USA Idaho Falls approval as sent a photo via smartphone to have them say loudly " What a good job, he made of your home. Therefore I can wholeheartedly recommend ONE- TEC and Matthew for good guttering work. Many thanks Matthew. Noel Crompton.

Friendly staff for EPC / Hips / Floor Plans

Brilliant, friendly service for Energy Performance Certificates, Home Information Packs and Floor Plans if your moving in or around York. There website tells you everything and the staff are wonderful. JUST READ THIS...

Want to Sell? You Need an EPC and a HIP and we offer a friendly service. We offer a customer, friendly AWARD WINNING user supporting website that offers a diverse source of information to keep customers informed at every level. Not only are EPC and HIPs explained, but we give you the background information on the European and UK Policies behind this new consumer household requirement that is changing the process of buying, selling and renting. Sellers for latest information
Why Do I need an EPC - HIP to rent or sell my home? Is it a tax? Will it Help my family?

The simple answer is No! It is not a hidden tax and YES it is designed to help the average buyer to give them the advice that helps them buy, sell or rent their property following an assessment of your home and the production of an Energy Performance Certificate or EPC ? It is simply the energy efficiency rating of a property. a sort of M.O.T rating of homes guidance. It is the most vital "required" document in a Home Information Pack. Take a look at Home Info. EPC's are a direct outcome of the European Union Directive 2002/91/EC inspired by the KYOTO PROTOCOL whose aim is to cut energy consumption and ecological deterioration, due to CO2 emissions. About 27% - 40% of UK energy consumption results from domestic uses, from lighting, heating, air-conditioning, and other household uses. The issuance of EPCs will be a concrete step in curtailing this massive consumption. They not only give an estimation of the energy efficiency, but also the savings gained and how to improve your home. and do something towards safeguarding this planet Earth for your children and their descendants. By gaining a certificate you are complying to the Housing Act 2004 which under Part 5 requires all homes to have a EPC to sell or rent and have to be produced if you buy or rent

The Best Chinese in York for Value
5
Hi Everyone,
We have been five times and enjoyed the meal each time. You help yourself so if you take a friend, you know that three different appettites will be full when you leave. Food hot and well cooked, never burnt! Never cold! The staff are friendly, well spoken chinese and if you know some chinese (Mandarin like myself) they will join in and speak. Welcome smiles and good value. My wife and I spent less than £20 with two plates of food each, dessert for me and two pints of lager. Wine is slightly cheaper than most restaurants. Best times to enter are 12.00pm noon for lunch and before 6pm to gain lowest prices, although it is open until midnight. Well Done jumbos we will be back again!
Enjoy

The Punch Bowl
York | Pubs
Very Friendly Staff

Hi Everyone,
Just proves what difference people do make to a visit to a pub for a meal and drink. We visited this place and a member of staff was so courteous to my wife and did his job with a sense of fun and we had a few laughs. The beer was brilliant and lager fine. The company when we visited was friendly, sociable and really good fun, not like the rowdy's found in some city centre pubs on Saturday nights. In all the experience was enjoyable and we all left to go home, rather than wanting to get away from the place. We paid the bill and left amused and wanting to return.
Enjoy

Excellent Value

Hi Everyone,
The reason you should shop here is spontaneous bargains, you can visit one day and see cheap items, but go another day and you can buy amazing bargains!

My wife bought a pair of women's trainers for £1 and because they didn't fit, she sold them for £4 and everyone was happy as they were good trainers. I have bought camera tripods, DVDs, Chocolates Toblerone's and Xmas stuff for £1. If you want anything just wait! Bought hardback books of TV series for £1. Bought Hammerite paint worth £7 a tin from B & Q for £1. It just depends when you visit so wait and visit again and again!
Good Luck...

Good Value January Sales
5
Hi Everyone,
Just want to say that that I bought a HP AMD 64 Dual Processor Laptop in January Sales 2008 and have been delighted! Look out for January Sales 2009. Why?

Well I updated from Vista Home to Vista Ultimate and lost my router connections via wireless. Asked the staff to sort it out for me and for free I was told just get your wife to download new drivers for Ultimate and everything will be ok! It was AMAZING! Really good graphics, better media and they could have easily charged me £60.

Worth looking around and buy in January, I saved £120 off the same laptop. I often call in to see how technology is improving and I have NEVER been pestered into buying, so I recommend it!

EXCELLENT - THE BEST!!!!
5
I would like to add our praises to the Spurriergate Centre, our regular port of call in the city. Many York people use this facility because it offers home made food, choices of tea, freshly brewed coffee and free top-ups on request.

The staff are a mix of regulars and volunteers, but all are spirt-filled individuals who are there if you need them. Yes, drinks, food and spiritual needs are on offer.

If you have a need for prayer, just ask and you can use a prayer room upstairs and someone will pray with you. If you just want a good, value homely place, then this is it. Why sit in a plastic, sameness fast food place when this cafe offers historic stone around it with stained glass windows, friendly staff and plenty of history! Just visit when in York. GUARANTEED!!! Got a problem ask the staff for some prayers and a quiet room to discuss things, but if on a happy note just enjoy the fresh coffe, freshly made cake and buns and delightful hot meals,

This centre is of all my reviews, this has to rate SUPERB! You will not be disappointed!!! Enjoy!!!

Honest, just try it and see

Betty's Cafe Tea Rooms
York | Traditional Restaurants
Tradition but you can do better!
2
From a York person point of view, Bettys Cafe Tea Rooms are not our choice to have a cup of tea and a cream bun! Why? You may think everybody visits this attraction, but I have been once in a lifetime, when I was invited to someone's treat with friends.

Honest, York people say "Why queue for an hour to sit in a fish tank on view for others to see?" If you want a nice place to sit and have a quiet meal just up the street past the Guild Hall, HMV, Virgin, WHSmith, Boots is a converted church that sells homemade cakes, teas from around the world, fair trade coffee freshly brewed and very friendly staff, all at reasonable rates and you are helping charity!

It is called St. Michael-le-Belfry and it is opposite GAME, a shop for PC Game lovers. No queues, homemade food and fresh tea and coffee, and if you have a spiritual need, tell the staff and someone will take the time to pray with you upstairs, all free.
Well worth a visit..

BEST PLACE IN YORK
5
I would strongly recommemd a visit to York Minster whenever you are in York. The Minster or Abbey is a wonderful spiritual place to rest and say prayers for loved ones. You can find a quiet corner or seat, or go into several small chapels where for a small donation you can light a candle for those suffering, worried or departed.

As a tourist attraction, you can see the marvels of centuries of stonework and glazing by craftsmen. Ask for Peter who was awarded an MBE for his work as a Master Glazier responsible for The Rose Window. He can be found on Sundays in the church opposite, called St. Michael-le-Belfry. He often gives talks on windows, especially stained glass and is a friendly, sociable pensioner.
His full name is Peter Gibson, a modest man.

\overall, York Minster offers the visitor, a marvel of history, a spiritual retreat and has a shop, gardens to the left to relax in and a brilliant photo opportunity to give you a record of memorable thoughts until you return again for another visit.
