I recently posted a review on here for the Marmaris takeaway, claiming that the food it provided was of a poor standard. I have since realised that I had completely confused this place with somewhere else. I have sent an apology to the people concerned and would like to offer my apologies for the incorrect review for anyone who may have seen this.

Have to agree with the earlier review.

This was quite simply a disappointing meal. The staff did not seem at all interested and acted at times like you were a burden on their plans to stand there talking to their mates.

The food in the cafe bar used to be absolutely fantastic but the last (and final) time that i went there it was just awful.

Such a shame because a while ago if i was writing this review I would've been saying what a great place it was. Sadly it seems like a lot of places these days - service has gone down the toilet.

Poor food, poor service and no easy parking near the place - i'd sooner go for a kebab rather than going to here again. Sorry but it's a one out of 5 from me for lack of effort and service.

Normally you'd think to yourself 'Subway - you're guaranteed a good meal there'...sadly this place in my opinion is the exception to the rule - the staff seem more interested in talking to each other about the weekend just gone rather than concentrating on the sandwiches that they're supposed to be making and this often leads to you getting a sandwich that looks like it's been put together by a 5 year old, also if you get it toasted for some reason they never seem to taste that nice. I've tried going into subway a few times thinking it must have been just a one off, but i've since found out from other people that they wouldn't bother going in there again.

For what you pay on it it just isn't worth it in my honest opinion. Poor food, poor staff, and expensive. 2 out of 5.

This place is legend! Every student who's ever been in ormskirk at some point has been to the kebab house, whether it's for one of the delicious pizzas (ham and pineapple are fantastic) or whether it's for one of the kebabs or the cheeseburgers...

whatever it is - you'll love it.

The staff are always friendly despite having to deal with a lot of the drunken idiots late at night, and they also do delivery to your house if you'd prefer to lounge around the house in your underwear one evening.

The price is great the food is even better, it may be unhealthy but sometimes you just have to say 'so what' and go for it anyway.

If you're ever hungry and can't be bothered going out - the kebab house is your place. 4 out of 5.

A lovely restaurant situated near to the Morris Dancers.

Master Mcgraths has a nice spacious car park at the back and a nice arrangement at the front of the building.

When you walk in the entrance the size of the place suprises you as it doesn't appear that big from the outside.

The staff are fantastic and the decor in the place adds to the feeling that you are coming to a special place.

The food is quite simply delicious, some people grumble at the price and claim that it's a bit too arty and fancy but to me it's perfect. A throgoughly enjoyable meal is always had here and the price is not really that bad

I'd give it 5 out of 5 - but once i went there for a steak and asked for it 'well done' as i'd never had one and saw it in a movie (my own fault) - one of my wobbly teeth came out when i bit into it - which is why i give it 4 instead of 5. :)

A fantastic pub with a great atmosphere.

This pub is situated a few doors down from a cash machine which in my opinion is a necessity - after all nobody wants to talk 15mins in the cold when you run out of money halfway through a night.

The car park is big and spacious meaning you nearly always get a space. The place itself is fantastic inside and has had a lot of work done to it making it more inviting and more 'homey'.

The beers available all taste great as does the house wine. The food is also lovely, the nicest thing about the Hare and Hounds is the romantic and ambient mood it gives off at a certain point in the evening when the lights are dimmed ever so subtely.

A fantastic pub, great staff, always a really good atmosphere - and no idiots (well not that i've seen anyway.)

Excellent chinese takeaway, Me and my family have been going to this place for around 20 years now - the sweet and sour chicken is quite simply to die for in my opinion, they get it just right and it's like no other sweet and sour i've ever tasted.

The people who run it seem a little bit unfriendly to begin with but once they get used to you they warm up a little.

The only downside to the Ko Wah is the fact you often have to wait between 30mins to an hour and a half when placing an order by telephone - but this is simply down to the fact that there only appears to be one person cooking in the kitchen plus the number of customers that they have built up over the years.

An excellent chinese - right by the Vauxhall garage in ormksirk - check it out you won't be disappointed.

This place is what I like to call your Classic eating establishment. It's in a fantastic setting, the building itself is a beautiful olde pub and the food is simply fantastic. I have been going to the Morris Dancers now for around 10 years and the reason for that is not because the food is fantastic (which it is); not because the price is excellent (again, which it is), but because the service you receive from the staff is better than any other place I have eaten in.

You rarely have to wait too long for a table (apart from a Sunday at certain times) but on the rare occasion that you do wait - you get escorted through to the bar area whilst you are waiting to be called in.

There is pleasant music flowing throughout your meal and the staff are only to pleased to help you with any queries or any extras.

If you're in the southport/ormskirk/burscough area then this place is worth calling into for a meal - you won't be disappointed.

Overall i've given this place 5 stars - I'd struggle to find fault with it - the only one I suppose is the effect it's had on my waist-line as it's such good food that i can't stop going back for more.

Recommend to all.
