Very tasty pizzas!
4
Gascons is my favourite pizza place in the area. The pizzas are all made from scratch and have weird and wonderful names and great fresh ingredients.
My favourite is the Hong Kong Phooey which has hoi sin sauce, spring onions and chicken on it. They dont deliver which is a shame but they are usually pretty quick with takeaways. No complaints about the food and the prices are pretty good too.
Handily situated near the railway bridge in shifnal, they tend to be busy as the pubs close on a weekend. Popular with the locals and you can see why, very tasty and quick food.

Very good food

I visited with family to celebrate a birthday and was not disappointed. The menu was extensive and featured an impressive amount of local produce.
I had a beef and ale pie for my main and it was very very good, all the veg was evidently freshly cooked which makes a change for pub food, we all enjoyed our meals and the atmosphere is very nice, log fires, warm and cosy.
No complaints on the food or the prices, we thought it was very reasonable and the service was attentive too. Desserts were a particular highlight, I had a cheesecake which was incedibly good. This place is great for family get togethers and celebrations.

Very good food

This place is well known around Wolverhampton for serving some of the best Indian cuisine in the area. The food is always to a high standard and the menu offers much more than your standard indian would.
Service has always been great when ive visited, it does tend to be a little more pricey than other Indian restaurants but the price reflects the quality of the food. It's always busy so its best to book if you want a table at the weekend, testament to it's popularity with the locals.
If you are after something a little different I would highly recommend this place.

Great food to eat in or takeaway
4
Despite the number of Indian restaurants in and around Shifnal we always use the Bengal both to eat in and takeaway.
Eating in, the staff are always most welcoming and very attentive, they are licenced and have a full bar which is great and the interior of the restaurant is modern and clean. The food is always good and is reasonably priced.
Takeaway is served via the shop next door so you generally dont have to go into the restaurant to pick it up but they do also deliver. Food always arrives piping hot and as good as in the restaurant, no complaints.

Friendly Real Ale Mecca
5
This is my local so im bound to be a bit biased - but this pub has had local and regional recognition for it's real ale so it's not just me that thinks it is great.
The White Hart always has a number of real ales on draught and a board advertised whats coming soon too, they arent afraid to try out unusual beers either. Benefiting from both a large beer garden alongside the car park and a smaller patio area to the rear, this pub is always busy in warmer weather.
It has won Real Ale pub of the year in previous years and frequently features in the local press. The atmosphere is laid back and friendly, its definitely not a noisy crowd.

Friendly service and great location
4
I really like the Tontine, the staff there always seem very friendly and approachable despite sometimes being completely run off their feet. Prices are pretty reasonable and the location is great. Centre of Ironbridge with tables scattered round outside looking directly at the bridge across the road, its a great place to people watch when the weather permits.
The food served is pretty good too for a pub menu, always tasty and good value too, no complaints there. Its mostly because the staff are so friendly that we always call in for a drink even if we are only in Ironbridge to pick up takeaway or passing through.

Good value, quick and tasty

The food at Wing Wah is generally good and you can't argue with the set price buffet as brilliant value for money. There is always a plentiful selection of dishes on the buffet to choose from and it also gives you the opportunity to try dishes you wouldnt try usually. We use this place on the Stafford Rd frequently for birthday lunches and the like with workmates, it is very conveniently located and easy to get to although parking can sometimes be a problem.
Sometimes (especially during school holidays) the atmosphere can be particularly noisy and not conducive to a quiet meal, the buffet style self service also takes something away from the experience of eating out and I always feel rushed for some reason! No complaints on the food though and the chocolate fountain (evenings only) is always very very popular!

Decent food to takeaway
3
I have never eaten in at this restaurant but can vouch for the takeaway food. We frequently use this restaurant on a saturday night and have never had to wait longer than half an hour or so before its ready, my one criticism is that they don't deliver so we always have to go and collect it.
The chicken in satay sauce is my favourite from any chinese restaurant and their obligatory free prawn crackers are always light and not too greasy. The prices are very good too, our average meal for 2 always comes in at less than £20. Good food and good value.

Good food both upstairs and down
4
Being a Shifnal native i've visited the bar at Seven many times to watch football or meet friends for a drink, the atmosphere on Saturday nights can be a bit overwhelming if you want a quiet drink but is testament to its popularity with the young and trendy crowd.
The bar food has always been pretty good if somewhat standard, ciabatta sandwiches, jacket potatoes and the like, but I and a friend recently tried out the 'proper' restaurant upstairs. The food was really very good, we had a tapas style dish to start with olives and bread, a bottle of house wine was not too expensive either. For a main I had a very tasty chicken with bacon and mushroom sauce which I had with pasta (there was an option of potatoes), it was very good.
We had no complaints about the food or the atmosphere - upsatirs is much quieter and its hard to believe you are dining above a very busy and quite noisy bar (we visited on a saturday night), it has original beams and is actually quite cosy, we will definitely visit again.
