total rip-off merchant. Charged me £20, just to change a tyre. He did not know I fix cars for a living, so know what the usual price in this area is for this is £5- £10 at most!
When I questioned the price he said it was because I had a new valve. (50p at most)

The £25 MOT is a con! your car WILL fail, even on a 'loose' wiper blade, that I suspect was done as the test was being carried out, and took less than a second to push back, but it was a fail, and then the re-test is £20!!
If you go you will see the place is empty, and with £25 MOT's they should be queuing round the block!! So I blame myself. BBC's Watchdog would have a field day with this crowd of con-men.

Thats will be a fail as it is dangerous! If your driving down the motorway and it comes off its highly dangerous to you & other road users there bang on with that one

Well if your pointing the finger.you should lodge a complaint or approach dvsa. But an insecure wiper is a fail and if repaired elsewhere a retest charge is allowed as per dvsa guidelines as most garages will charge for checking somebody else's repairs.sounds like another unjustified bad review by somebody who has a negative view of everybody else

the 'insecure wiper blade took less than a second to clip back into place, and any decent garage would just do this while carrying out inspection, not fail it and then charge £20 for re-rest

BillyB-2 You know those of us with proper jobs are too busy to follow up these matters, that is what you rely on. But as stated, look outside your window, at £25 an MOT, if you were a decent garage you would have customers queuing up the street.......No, and we know why, once bitten, nobody returns to you. Yes, you ripped me off for £45, well done, not surprisingly I took my car to another garage and it passed fist time.

So you got a pass off them for £45 inc re-test then you have taken it elsewhere for another? Its going to pass at a diffrent garage if connollys already done sorted the 'wiper' i have been going years, friends and family also go and we have not once had a problem with that garage to me it sounds like you just wanted a cheap mot expecting a straight pass like most people, to me you aint been in that garage at all its funny how stockport branch get a bad review aswell and the minute you reply back the stockport 1 gets a reply straight away aswell well i have just reported you for basically lying on here making the garages look back and you can tell you have dine both reviews as both are exactly the same
