A shame: good food and awful customer service

Days before our wedding, and despite them having all the details months in advance, Maroon Spice added a charge to the bill since the venue didn't have the right facilities. I rang Danny to ask him about it, and very quickly found myself in an argument. He was rude, confrontational and regularly pointed out that we had no choice at this late stage (and no contract, of course) so we had better lump it. He was right on that front, so I bit my tongue. On the day of our wedding, the customer service from his team was adequate: certainly not friendly or slick, but passable, and again, the food was good. While we had a great day, having the row of two days previous in the air was an unwelcome addition. Is it a real shame that Danny is at the customer's end of Maroon Spice since his approach to customers is unprofessional and rude. I would recommend the food, but strongly advise against dealing with him. Since the two unfortunately go together, I cannot recommend using Marion Spice.
