Don't trust this rude, arrogant man anywhere near your lawnmower servicing.
He charged me £163 for an absolute bodge of a service to a Webb Mower, after which he told me I would have to remove the air filter and hold my hand over the carburettor to start the mower. When it wasn't cutting properly, I waited over 8 weeks for him to give me a call to look at what the problem was. In the end I took it to him only to be met with a tirade of swearing and abuse. He had helped me lift it out of the car but when I wanted to take it away, he refused to help me lift it in the boot again. (I am 87 years old so not very strong). In the end I got 2 friendly builders to help me.
I took the mower to another repairer who couldn't believe what a terrible job he had made of it, not even replacing the worn out bottom plate, or a faulty bearing.
My advice is don't go near David Ward at Wards Lawnmowers who doesn't appear to be able to conduct himself in normal life let alone run a business!

I needed a small piece of foam and went to the Foam Place in Leicester market where I found some pre-cut pieces of roughly the size I thought I needed so bought one at £8.50 having been assured by the owner of the shop that if I found anything unsuitable I could return it for a refund. I did find the piece taken unsuitable but not wanting to ask for a refund I exchanged it for another size which was even worse so I returned this one for the refund that was promised.
The amount of ranting I was subjected to, included that he would not be able to do this under 'health and safety regulations', made me wonder what would be his reaction to returning a more expensive item. In the end I told him not to worry - I will just throw the item away.
My advice to anyone thinking of buying from The Foam Place is - DONT!
There are plenty of other suppliers with better manners, who know how to treat customers properly.

I have dealt with many garages for over 50 years but it was not until I found Weavers following a recommendation that I was able to experience what really good service was all about.
A very awkward intermittent electrical fault on our fairly old Renault camper van made me wonder whether I should take it to a specialist car electrician to diagnose, but I didn’t need to worry as the problem was dealt with by David in a truly professional way (even delivering it to our home afterwards)
