Over £732 for replacing a flush valve

My toilet required a very simple part replacement – a flush valve. I booked Pimlico Plumbers as I wanted to try and get the problem fixed the same day, and as a large company I expected them to carry relatively basic parts. They said this was the case – that these types of parts are carried on the van.
Later that day, the plumber arrived but without any parts and told me he'd need to make an estimate for the job and return another day. What he sent was a time-inflated quotation of 2.5 hours (£450 for labour, plus £132 for parts) costing £582. Adding on top the £150 for the first visit, that would come in at £732 just for replacing a simple flush valve!
I booked another plumber who agreed this estimation was hugely inflated in terms of time, and was able to do the job in less than an hour for less than £200.
In reviewing my complaint, I've spoken to an unhelpful, dismissive person who kept telling me it was a premium service, and that the basic service needed was my opinion.
