This gentleman swept our chimney and the masking tape he used stripped some of the paint off the fire surround when it was removed.
This was pointed out to him and he offered to drop some matching paint off at our property so that we could rectify.
We chased him for this 5 or 6 times and when I eventually spoke to the person who answered the phone she became abusive and said it was not his fault. “It was the fireplace fitters fault”. What an attitude to customer service.
This fireplace was fitted 10 years ago and has been swept several times (not by him) without problems. I only gave him the business because he is local.
So his promise meant nothing. Damage a customers property and it is the customer’s fault. Master chimney sweep is a joke.
Avoid him.

What Mr Stevens you clearly have forgotten to add to your story is the small fact of 3 phone calls from both yourself and your wife which were delivered in a threatening manner with your constant demand to my wife and myself that we resolve this small issue ASAP. Surprising that this little part of the saga slipped your mind and you forgot to put it on here?
