I am in the process of buying my first home and I was considering different options to check for issues with the property before continuing. Peter Orme came highly recommended and I chose to get a survey with him instead of opting for a homebuyer's report, as with a homebuyer's report the best you're going to get is 'there is a possible issue, you should get a specialist to take a look'.
Instead, Peter gave me a comprehensive detailed report that highlighted a number of structural issues in detail and raised some questions, and he was able to talk me through the report and explain in a more detail the severity of the issues so I have a good idea of what it would cost to put everything right.

I would definitely use him again in the future if I have any issues and the inspection he provided has more than paid for itself. Five stars.

I rented a flat in the centre with these guys for about a year. They are really friendly, very knowledgable and very easy to talk to. They addressed a couple of minor issues with my flat without any problems or fuss at all. They don't rip you off like many other places - the agency fee was half that of other places.
When I moved out I left the place spotless and there was nothing taken from my deposit. I would absolutely recommend them, and I hope to use them to buy a house given the exemplary service I have received from them in the past.

As an agent WHP were pretty good, however the inventory company they use leaves a lot to be desired. They were rude, abusive and screamed at me during checkout. Due to missing a tiny spot during cleaning (5 seconds to wipe it), a small problem that I could have fixed on the spot I had to pay a £35 admin fee and £35 to the landlord.

This was a shock considering the amount of effort I put into cleaning the place and I wish I hadn't bothered if I had to pay anyway.

By all means use them but scrutinize the hell out of the inventory report and don't sign it until every tiny detail has been noted. Photographic evidence is useless when it comes to disputes, only the inventory report is important.

Words cannot describe how amazing this place really is. The service was undoubtedly the best I have ever experienced, the staff without exception being polite, friendly and helpful. The food was exquisite plate after exquisite plate, each dish being beautifully prepared and presented, and there was absolutely nothing to be faulted. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

The number of issues I had with this letting agency are off the charts. They swear the deposit must, and will, be placed into the government protection scheme and give you leaflets on it, but it is not, nor do they have legal obligation for the type of tenancy I entered into. I thought I was safe because they assured me it was required by law and it would help me to sort things out in case of dispute. When you leave and ask for a reference, they charge a ridiculous fee for it. They add miscellaneous fees, plus VAT, plus admin fees, plus VAT when you move out, and you have little recourse when it turns out they lied about deposit protection. They demanded money for 'mandatory carpet cleaning' and 'miscellanous cleaning' not mentioned in their contract. They are rude, unprofessional, unhelpful, and should be avoided. I was powerless despite taking extensive photographic evidence before moving out, as their sneaky fees are roughly the same as court fees. Despite my protests they ignored my dispute and sent me a cheque anyway for my deposit minus fees, and told me I should be grateful they didn't deduct more. I spent 6 hours cleaning the flat and the garden, and you could have eaten your dinner off the floor. It shined - this company does not.
