I had a worsening and dramatic, intermittent shimmy through the steering at speed, so bad the pedals shook.
As you might imagine having such a good local reputation means they are always very busy.
Yet, Interpreted as a possible safety issue it was dealt with immediately.
I called them and was told to bring it in that afternoon. I had an idea the driveshaft CV was breaking up. I arrived, they dropped everything and took it off for a test-drive - Nothing showed up. They put it on the lift, inspected and saw nothing amiss. His first suggestion had been a loose wheel or wheel balance which I dismissed because it was intermittent and had suddenly got worse.
Off the wheels came and lo and behold one was significantly out of balance.
Today my Volvo timing belt. Excellent value too.
