I have always been frightened of dentists from childhood to now being a Senior Citizen! I married in 1972 and found a superb dentist locally but he retired three years ago but recommended a Simon Ashcroft at the Marlow Dental Centre. I plucked up courage and made an appointment. Arriving I found the reception which was really modern squeaky clean and a warm and friendly receptionist. She explained several things then a nurse took me to meet (as I found out later) Dr Simon Ashcroft BDS(Hons)DRP. The actual surgery seemed to be really well equipped with lots of various (things?) which all looked in fine and sparkling condition but for what I would not know. My examination over I was told that one tooth had to be extracted and the last three next time. So I gripped the chair and braced myself. But I did not even feel the needle which he told me was numbing the tooth and he would then extract the tooth. I managed to mutter is the tooth coming out now? he replied "it's out". Incredible I honestly did not feel a thing.
Returning a few months later, ready for the three extractions it was exactly and unbelievably the same. No feel of the needles to numb the area and then a quick extraction of three teeth again NO pain only perhaps the feel of his hand near my mouth. Brilliant!
I remember actually saying this to him. It seems that they do many things connected to teeth but if ever I have to return there will now be no fear and I would look forward to seeing the pleasant staff again. I also think that the money I spent was well worth it.

We could not obtain the reservations anywhere so turned to solent travel Lee in desparation to obtain the cabin we needed for a special cruise. Not only did they manage to obtain this but also a special offer that expired that day for inclusive gratuities and drinks included and a low deposit offer. They came back with full details of the flights timings luggage arrangements, the changed details of the ships itinerary and places. And the cabin level which we wanted. They were not only brilliant, helpful and "switched on" but it was a pleasure to deal with them. It is not just a "local" travel agent" but full of knowledge and we congratulate them on their speed to help with full information within the very limited time needed. Thank you Chris and the staff.
