The owner gives one price over the telephone allows you to travel 180-miles from Newcastle to Nottingham then in the b&b reception tells you the price for a 4-night stay which works out at about £360.00 with the price she gave on the phone will actually cost you £600.00 as the family rooms we had booked and that we had been told were £45.00 each night where being charged at one room being £45.00 and the second room would now be charged at a higher price of £68.00 per night. We where also told that it had to be paid in full there and then. On stating we would not pay this new price we where told we could not stay and that one nights stay would be taken from our bank despite not staying and asked to leave, leaving my wife, daughter and myself with no-where to stay. We where also told by local people that this is a regular thing the owner does to customers, and that the rooms are full of mould and are full of damp along with rotten windows. So book here at your on risk, please be warned.
