I would like to update you all re this company's work. I had to choose a star as it wouldn't let me continue. Stormy weather at the weekend caused dry verge ridge tiles to blow off in the wind. The reason is that the installers didn't attach the tiles close enough to the roof side thus allowing the wind in.. Not only do I have to pay for replacement tiles but the entire job requires lathes installed to fill the gaps and stop the wind from reoffending. This is costing further £150. It goes to show that the boss/owner either didnt bother to check the work completed by his dodgy employees or he just ignored the shoddy job. Either way avoid this company like the plague as their workmanship is dreadful and you are most likely to incur additional extra costs to correct the mistakes. Goes to show a poor review of the roof tiler was warranted. He was correcting initial errors after the job was completed. Obviously he didnt know what he was doing like the step he messed up. Unqualified staff.

The owner of this company recommended his so called qualified tiler to do a job at my house. The tiler made a complete shambles of the job. He underestimated the trim required, he way over calculated the tiles required, he didn’t know how to mitre the corners, he did not match the tiles, he left large gaps and filled them with thick grout despite having way too many tiles, he overlapped the trim and said it was for water to drain off. I could go on and on but I bet you get the drift that he is not qualified. I had a contractor examine the work and he confirmed all of the above comments. He estimated that even any newly qualified tiler would at the very least be able to calculate correctly and mitre efficiently never mind the rest of the disasters. This is the tiler that will be working on your roof requirements. His name is Diarmuid Nicell and he is employed by Amac Roofing. Avoid! Avoid!

My mum dealt with this company on my behalf. The overall experience was dreadful. They installed ridge tiles and the lads carrying out the work were inexperienced. Left unsupervised and therefore the owner and his tiler had to return for snagging. The centre pieces were crooked and had wrong coloured nails inserted. Some of the ridges were misaligned and had to be adjusted. The ridges overlapped the guttering. Concrete was put into two of the ridges instead of them being replaced. There was a lot of contact with Sean the owner and he kept giving my mum dates for replacement. She lives out of town and did me a favour. Each time he didn’t arrive or bother to cancel. His tiler said that the replacements were in the back of his van. 6 months later the owner has still not replaced the tiles. Avoid this company if you want a good professional job carried out. Do not accept a tiling recommendation from him. He will recommend Diarmuid Nicell and that is a non qualified tiler to be avoided.

This company uses unsupervised amateurs. They use a shoddy roof tiler to correct the errors made by the amateurs and even then do not get it right. Their after care is non existent. I would never recommend them to anyone. The owner and his employees are not reliable and incompetent at their jobs.
