Went here last weekend for a family celebration. Absolutely wonderful food, really beautiful surroundings and helpful staff. This place is really good for special celebrations and would be a lovely place to stay for a weekend treat.

Went last week for a family meal and there was something on the menu for everyone with a really good choice. For traditionalists there are is a good choice of pub grub type meals but best of all you can have a trio of school puddings or if u cannot manage all three you can have just one with a coffee or tea to finish - the raspberry and coconut sponge is yummy!

If you are out walking on the North York Moors and are near this little cafe then call in for excellent food, service and atmosphere. Local bikers, walkers, riders etc all seem to congregate here and after having ordered lunch I can see why. The cakes are all home made and looked lovely too so it would be lovely to call by for afternoon tea or as a well earned treat to replenish some calories after a hill walk!!

Went here for family brunch. Staff asked if we had booked and seemed a little flustered that we hadn't. Meal was OK and service was OK too and staff found a highchair and were accommodating with toddler meals etc. This is a nice place to stop for food en route to Dartmoor but does get very busy!

Stayed here recently whilst down in London with work. The single room allocated was freshly refurbished and was immaculate. The adjoining Jacques Wine Bar was OK for evening meal too. However, breakfast was a nightmare at peak time, it was really crowded and had to queue for ages, but it was OK considering it was part of the room rate.

This is a really good chippy and the fish is always lovely from here. Staff are always efficient and friendly too. The portion of chips is so large that one between two is absolutely enough!

Saw 'The Kings Speech' here the other day. As usual the place was immaculately clean and the individual cinemas are big with plenty of legroom and not too many seats across the row.

Definately the place to lunch in the Boro - does get very busy so get in early, especially lunch-time Fridays! Salads, wraps and pittas all crammed with healthy salads so no excuses needed! Lovely!

A nice clean salon, friendly staff really take their time with you to make sure you get the style you really want. Very reasonable prices too and I was pleasantly surprised when I got the bill after a recent re-style cut and blow-dry!

We had a very active toddler with us but as soon as the pasta and balloons appeared we had relative peace! The staff who looked after us were fab and very family friendly. Food was ok, nice and tasty but nothing out of this world, but very nice. Good they take Tesco clubcard vouchers!
