On 8th October 2024 my break down company sent Greenfield recovery Hilton to my broken down car on Eggington road Hilton a mile from Greenfields depot.The mechanic arrived promptly in a recovery vehicle. He asked me to start my car but the battery was flat. He made no attempt to start my car or even look at it and simply told me I wasn't covered for recovery. I tried to explain to him I was covered for recovery to a garage or my home address up to 25 miles. I explained I only lived 4 miles away and the garage I wanted it taken to was also only 4 miles away. The mechanic simply drove away leaving me stranded.

As explained to you by the director of the company who was also your mechanic that day. The job was sent down as a road side assist only, which does not entitle you to a Recovery of any sorts, it means to try and fix roadside. However your vehicle had a problem that needed a garage and we would not have been able to fix it roadside. Had we have recovered you on a roadside assist only job we would not have been paid for it. We let the breakdown club know that you needed Recovery, it is then up to them to find someone who can recover you. Unfortunately we have to do as our contract states with the breakdown club, which in your case was diagnose the issue, if it is fixable at the roadside then do a temporary repair or battery boost (if this is needed) if we can't do a roadside repair then we have to leave scene, notify the breakdown club and they will then sort out a Recovery. Your experience was not down to ourselves it was your breakdown club.

I had knew battery fitted two years ago but over last few weeks it kept going flat. Phoned up yesterday and was told to be at garage at 10.30 am next day. Got there today and new battery fitted free of charge under warranty, no quibble. Brilliant garage only wish it was closer to home as 27 miles away.

If I could I would have given 10 stars. After several window companies let me down in not providing what I wanted, a stable door and windows. Select windows provided what I wanted and more as the suggestions of handles and fittings put the finishing touches to a brilliant piece of quality workmanship.
The fitters were really nice chaps who were perfectionists and took pride in there work and left everything spotless. But they could drink tea for England.

Adam's a helpful chap. I had a fob programmed by him which worked out £150 cheaper than dealership. I later took it back as I was getting locked in the car but he tracked the fault to a wiring problem in the drivers door which had nothing to do with the fob he programmed. No charge and one happy customer.

Great friendly service. I was offered a lift home after dropping car off despite the job to be done only cost me £30. Very pleased with the work done. I will definitely be gong back.
