GIVEN THE WRONG DIAGNOSTICS AND A RIDICULOUS QUOTE

I called up to say my handbrake had gone completely and my handbrake shoes needed replacing. They said they would take a look then could get me booked for the following day
I was not told they would charge me to take a look at my van, they charged me £135. I complained and they said they would give me a discount in the quote. It took them 3 days to provide a quote, not the next day turnover I was told prior to booking in with them.
They finally gave me a ridiculous quote of £745 for parts and labour saying it would take 5.5 hours to do and they’ve given a discounted rate of £15ph. So I was looking at £880 overall going with them after the first charge. This was 1 week before Christmas they were obviously cashing in.
Guildford tyres told me the handbrake cable had perished but here was nothing wrong with the cable the quadrant had seized up. It cost me £530 to go here and it took them 3.5 hours.
