Last week, my family and I visited the Ferry House Inn in Burton-upon-Stather, hoping for a pleasant meal, but we left very disappointed. Despite the restaurant being almost empty, we were told to order drinks at the bar before being seated, which felt strange. Although the waitress was helpful when we asked for quieter music, several issues with our meals followed. Dietary requests were ignored, service was inconsistent, and we had to leave our table to order and collect additional drinks, causing our food to go cold. My main course was missing the advertised chips, and my wife’s baguette was burnt and hard. Three of four meals had problems, and the landlord’s public remark, playing to his friends, calling us “the whingers” was rude and unprofessional, prompting us to leave. Due to these combined issues with food, service, and disrespect, we won’t be returning. I hope you take this feedback seriously and make improvements for future guests.
