Theft of property
1
I recently stayed on a sleep/park/fly basis at your Britannia Country House hotel at Manchester. The date was Monday the evening of 2nd November and stayed in room 373. I foolishly left my Kindle Fire HD on the bedside cabinet on leaving the following morning. I realised this after the transfer to the airport and immediately phoned your front desk to explain and was told that housekeeping had not entered the room yet but would retrieve it and place it with lost property. On returning this morning 18th November to collect my car i asked at the front desk and was told there was no reference of my earlier contact and no sign of my Kindle. I find it deplorable that your staff can act in such a dishonest way. i accept it was my responsibility, but things happen, but even so i was assured that it would be there for me to collect on return. Naturally i will not be booking with you in the future and will inform fellow travelers on various travel sites to be wary and cautious and to inform them of the dishonesty that abounds at your hotel.
Same just happened to me 05/09/2016 left my mobile phone in room realised 2hrs after checkout to be told cleaner had been an gone and anything left in rooms is left in a safe only cleaners have access to cos I had no phone I was told to leave my email address and they would contact me after they had spoke to cleaner now 3days later and after countless emails to no reply il have to accept phones gone and there a bunch of lying cheats who like to take lost property
Sure seems that way. I tried every way possible to even trying to contact the CEO, got as far as his secretary only to be told no further discussion on my grievance would be entered into. Looks as though , from the front desk manager down to the cleaners, all are involved.
