the school is abhorrent, as a student council member, you'd think I would hold at least an inkling of respect, however, I have had teachers ignore me, my opinion, and my questions. Many teachers ignore talented students, some teachers even belittle those who need extra support. On several occasions, I have witnessed teachers smoking outside school, joke about children they don't like, and refuse to communicate/ speak to me. unfortunately, the school has a multitude of instances where students have threatened, or felt threatened by members of staff, including an incident which ended with police involvement, my friend, who was involved in the incident, had a panic attack, yet had to wait almost an hour until he was sent home.
