No church is perfect

No church is perfect. If it was, I'd have to keep away to avoid spoiling it.
This one is full of real people with real issues. It can be a bit of a shock to find that others are genuinely interested in how I feel.
The senior minister is down-to-earth and honest about his own vulnerabilities, so that's refreshing. But he is obviously keen to explain what the bible has to say to us today, rather than just sharing personal platitudes. Jesus seems to be at the centre of all is said and that's clear in the (mostly) contemporary worship songs used in the services. There are lots of children and young people in their teens, as well as a wide age spread.
There's a coffee break in the middle of the service! This means you can't really go there and not meet people - unless you really don't want to meet them, I guess. It would be possible to keep away from most others as there's seating upstairs too. It's relaxed and I felt I had choices.
