Scott's carried out 3 jobs on behalf of my father in NewtonAycliffe, with all arrangements being made through me. On each occasion, Scott has been a pleasure to deal with, communicating well, always doing what he promises and solving all problems efficiently. While plumbing issues are never welcome, we know that we can rely on Scott to solve them.

Our project was to create a new kitchen/diner/seating area, office and utility. Little downstairs was to be left untouched, so we needed the right builder. We chose Stonehouse Construction due to great references, reasonable pricing and friendly owner Neil who was someone we could work with and ably leads an experienced team of hard-working tradespeople: Robin and Ethan, Kev and Joe (electricians), Ian and Ash (plasterers) and others if needed.
They were all intent on meeting our needs e.g. kitchen fitting by Robin showed superb attention to detail and building work by Ethan was always carried out efficiently and with a smile. Any niggles were fixed quickly, without becoming defensive. Plastering and electricals were faultless, more than can be said about the singing/whistling!
The main project lasted 4 months while we lived in the house, so we were fortunate to choose genuinely nice guys who were a pleasure to have around, did a great job and we would thoroughly recommend!

James, Lloyd and Fred did an excellent job clearing overgrown trees and shrubs in preparation for our garden's re-landscaping. The quality of work was consistently high with any small issues addressed quickly, as they genuinely want to provide a great service and their ability and attitude means they succeed in doing so. They also communicated well and were a real pleasure to have around. They might not be the cheapest tree surgeons in the area, but we believe they gave us excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

We had an infestation of flies in our loft and called in 'Agripest'; Nick responded quickly and explained what was needed. A team of two was duly dispatched and the problem solved within half an hour by releasing a gas which killed the flies and also (hopefully) eliminated the 'calling cards' the flies leave to help their compatriots congregate in the same place the following year. Very professional, nice guys who know what they are doing - highly recommended!

My father needed a mobility shower so we asked several local companies to quote. MWA wasn't the cheapest but we felt most comfortable with Mark and his proposal so we agreed to proceed. Throughout the process, Mark and his team were a pleasure to deal with. My father's house (in particular the floor) wasn't easy to work with, and in my experience bathroom installations rarely run entirely smoothly, however every small issue was dealt with in a professional and friendly manner - it felt like our satisfaction was their number one priority. Mark is one of very few workmen I have dealt with who has really delivered. My father is extremely happy with his shower, which is safe and effective, and we would thoroughly recommend MWA to anyone who wants an excellent solution and experience. Mark deserves every success in his business.
