I question the honesty of these guys. I took my car in after I got a puncture. They phoned me back saying it was in an irrepairable area of the tyre, and the only tyre they had in stock was a £150premium tyre. If I wanted to wait for a budget tyre they could get one for me the next day. I thought I'd check KwikFit next door who did have the right spec, so I went to take my car there. Picking it up from McConechy's, the miserable old guy running the shop decided that he'd charge me £10! Then to add serious insult to injury, when I took the vehicle next door to KwikFit the guy looked at my puncture and said "that's repairable, you don't need a new tyre". He showed me with the device and the puncture was an easy 12-15mm within the repairable area. The KwikFit guy couldn't believe that they had tried to con me into buying a new tyre and charged me £10 for removing a wheel, so he fixed my puncture for free. Now that's customer service! McConechy's could learn a thing or two.
