Crown Garage, Saltford - very poor customer service
1
After 5 fruitless visits to sort a minor issue [Paul was always 'busy', according to the Receptionist and failed to answer emails], I went to another garage for the MOT on the second hand car I bought from Crown Garage, Saltford.

I was shocked to be advised this car had 'extensive welding' which would render it unlikely to pass its MOT next year. On purchase, I had specifically asked Paul for a car which would last, as I would soon be retiring. He made no mention of the welding.

I wrote, sending the letter recorded. I emailed, again asking for a meeting. Absolutely no response.

I rang 'Good Garage Scheme' to be fobbed off. Since, I read reports that this 'service' is far from what it claims. It supports the garage, not the customer.

So what of Crown Garage's vaunted 'excellent' customer service? I dislike confrontation - too old for that. You should be thoroughly ashamed, Paul.

My experience of Crown Garage has been the complete opposite of yours. You say you don't like confrontation yet you sent recorded letters which could be deemed as confrontational. No one has a crystal ball to determine if a car will run into problems in the future and you don't say when you bought the car. For all we know you could have been driving it up and down Weston beach every day. I rarely comment on such reviews but when I find a garage I can properly trust who do the right thing I stick by them. Its not as if the garage needs any extra business as I've just called them to book my own car in and cant get an appointment until early March. there are always two sides to a story. your experience has been bad, mine has always been outstanding.
