Terrible service. Ridiculous waiting times for pre ordered meals. 40 minutes wait for appetisers. 40 minutes wait for main courses. No fresh vegetables, all frozen including Aunt Bessie's type roast potatoes. Bad attitude of assistant manager. Regular customers for several years who will not be returning

What a shame that 2 years after the last review, nothing has changed here. The food was very good, freshly cooked and tasty but such a pity about the service. Assuming that Monday is a quiet night (I hope so as apart from one or two others, we didn't see anyone else eating there) it is hard to believe that one of the items on the menu had already run out by 8pm. I also don't understand how with 5 people at the table, a waitress can bring out 4 main meals and not think it strange that the 5th person has no food. After asking her for the missing meal from our order and pointing out missing items of food from another meal, we were assured that "he definitely put everything on there". Obviously the place is haunted and a phantom had removed said items from the plate between kitchen and table. 10 minutes later, the 5th meal and the missing items were duly delivered together with an offer of a complimentary round of drinks which was accepted. Although I do understand that it is better to wait and have freshly cooked food than to receive food quickly that has been under heat lights or put in a microwave, the wait between courses was considerable and 2 courses took over two and a half hours Add to this the sulky attitude of the member of staff behind the bar (the younger man was much more personable as was the waitress) and you have a place with no ambience that leaves you with no wish to return.
