I took My Volvo v70 d5 to express gearbox in the hope they would be able to fix my gearbox issue. I had a problem with one of the bearings that the driveshaft went into. At the cost of just over £3000 I was hoping I was in good hands as they told me it would come back like a new gearbox. I was told that it was a 2 day job but I got it back a week later. It came back with problems it didn’t have when I dropped it off. The communication was woeful until they wanted payment. My steering wheel now creaks when I turn, I have a nasty knocking noise I didn’t have before, a judder at 30mph, my air filter connectors were snapped and the gearbox is now not smooth. I did take it back to them and they managed to reduce the creaking noise when steering but it has returned. They told me they were happy with the car’s performance and that was that. I can safely say the bad reviews for this company seem to be a fair reflection of the service you get.
