I do have one question. The desk was dated c1880. The locks are all stamped Hobbes & Co a firm whose name changed in 1855. Does that mean the desk is 25 years older than we thought?

Thank you for your review The circa 1880 date is an approximate date but the desk will not be as early as 1855 but could be a few years older. Graham
