I locked myself outside with the kids, rang them and the gentleman on the phone was empathetic and even agreed to discount the price. The engineer came in no time, very polite and helpful!

The office administrator continues to be rude on the phone and refuses to compromise on the night lack issue. I have spoken with Trading Standards and will be submitting a formal letter to the office and begin proceedings to rectify the situation

I am more than certain that these reviews are completely fabricated and i only kick myself for not taking the time to look into them properly.
Each character has only ever left a single review in their entire long career as a user of Yell.com, which is their outrageous compliments for this company. Each profile head been created on the same day the review was left and then there has been zero activity after that point, and very few people will create a profile solely to leave a sterling review on a single encounter with the locksmith.

I would give minus stars to this company if possible, and yell.com should take serious action against these fasle claims which have no doubt lead countless people into losing money!
A very poor reflection of this company!

I recently came into contact with these traders through using Yell.com, and after seeing the close proximity and high reviews i felt confident in choosing them.
I rang the company on a Saturday and arranged with a man (who refused at a later date to give me a name), for night-latch to be fitted on a bedroom door for the price of £90, he assured me that he would send a technician and this latch could be fitted, i explain that i wouldn't be at home but someone would be there to let them in, and passed along my name, mobile number and full address.

Monday morning i got a call from a locksmith, with very poor English asking me for my post code and explaining he was there to install the lock, upon returning home that night i saw that all he had done was change the normal door handle lock which was already on the door, and took the entire £90, leaving behind a packet for a cheap 3-lever door lock costing £8.56.
I was reasonable and the next day contacted the office again to explain that there had been a mistake and would they be able to send the technician back to complete the work i originally asked for. The man at the office became immediately defensive and rude, claiming that there was no record of address or phone call and that i had never arranged work with them, at one point cutting me off mid-sentence to answer another call and take down the details for some other unsuspecting person! He then curtly told me he would look into it and call me back.

After hearing nothing for 5 hours, i once again rang the office to inquire into what was being done to rectify the situation. I encountered the same rude man telling me that there was still no record and that i was getting confused and must have had work done be a different company, i made it clear how certain i was and that i had a text from them to confirm the visit, and he replied in an annoyed manner that he would try and look into it but wasn't going to find any new answers and then promptly hung up on me!

Not too long after i got a call from the original technician, who couldn't understand what i was explaining to him and tried to suggest the the person who let him into the house approved of the work and that it would be an additional £69 for him to revisit and install the latch. I was not pleased and it was impossible to explain to him the circumstances so i rang back the office, the man was ruder than ever claiming that my 'representative' had okay-ed the works so they would be doing nothing else about it without charging me extra, I explained that the person who let in the technician was in on way a representative and didn't know what was being done, and was merely a presence to open the house up. I explained that the works and price had been agreed between myself and the office, and that the mis-communication had been between the office and the technician so i shouldn't have to pay extra for something i never wanted in the first place. The office worker strongly stated that his superior would not allow the installation of the night-latch as a sign of good customer service, all he offered was to send the technician round to remove the 3-lever and give me a refund of £30 only, leaving me completely without a lock and out of pocket £60!

I became increasingly aggravated by this poor quality of service, the rudeness of the man repeating that it was my fault, and that if i was concerned i should have phoned the technician to check on the works. I explained that from the positive reviews id

I have used Locksmiths Wolverhampton for years and have always felt they do a great job. Recently I used them to break open some old file cabinets in an office I rented. They explained to me that they weren't breaking open the file cabinets but just the lock and if I ever wanted to replace it.
