Customer requirements not listened to, poor communication between staff. Avoid if needing anything but basic framing. Manager dismissive and condescending.

Visited the shop to discuss getting an old map framed as a gift.
One of the floor staff took time to go through my requirements.
As the piece being framed was quite old and hard to replace i was enquiring about UV protection to prevent fading. I left my email address so that i could be contacted with a quote for the two options we discussed. I was also asked to leave a deposit and was told i could have this refunded if we didn't go ahead so this seemed reasonable.
After two weeks i still hadn't received any message so i visited the shop. I was informed they had gone ahead with the order. I asked them to cancel it and they agreed and i was asked to return in a week to collect my map and refund.
Returning the following week instead of getting my map back and a refund they have completed the order anyway.

I only had a simple request, but the lady who served me really knew what she was talking about and took great care in framing my precious photo.

I came here to have three of my friend's paintings framed. I was delighted by the service as I wasn't really sure about what colour and type of frame to go for. The lady really took her time to figure it out with me and two weeks later, I came back to collect the paintings and they looked so perfect! The shop also sells original paintings from local artists and limited edition prints. I just bought one for my sister for Christmas, I hope she likes it!

I've lived in St. Albans 30 years and I always come here for cards. I find them original, quirky, funny but not smutty. I always find the card I need, whether for a birthday, Christmas, or wedding. And I always get a smile! Dearly recommend this quirky shop!

Unbelievably rude, horrible attitude.
Visited this place to get a photo mounted, had awful service, first of all we got passed onto the woman, who then complained about us because she was too busy to deal with us (in an empty shop). Sorted the frame out, with no enthusiasm what so ever, made a note of what the photo was for reference, to which my mum pointed out it was the cathedral in St. Albans and that it was taken by a family member, to which the woman replied, 'whatever''!!!
Incredibly rude didn't even say thankyou or goodbye when we left. When to collect the frame, and it's wonky. Not impressed at all
