First Class Learning

My son (Year 4) has been attending for a few months now, and the progress he’s made in maths is really noticeable. He used to struggle with times tables and lacked confidence, but the step-by-step approach has really helped things click for him. Amrita, the centre manager, is fantastic, she’s always approachable and takes the time to explain how he’s getting on and what he needs to work on. He’s now much more confident in class and even enjoys maths, which is something I never thought I’d say!

Both of our children go to First Class Learning Woodley – our youngest for English and maths, and our eldest recently started science support as well. We’ve tried other tuition in the past but nothing has come close to the level of care and consistency they offer here.

Amrita, who runs the centre, is absolutely lovely – professional but warm, and always on top of things. She really gets to know the kids and keeps everything running smoothly. What we appreciate most is that it’s not just about pushing for grades – it’s about building good habits, confidence and genuine understanding. The work is structured but manageable, and the children know what’s expected of them without feeling overwhelmed.

Our son used to avoid reading completely – now he finishes books without being asked. And our daughter has gone from “I can’t do science” to actually teaching us things at the dinner table! We’ve seen real progress and we feel supported as parents too. Couldn’t ask for more.

Our twin girls started with First Class Learning Woodley last term and we’ve been really impressed. The tutors are calm, friendly and genuinely care about the kids. We didn’t want a high-pressure environment – just somewhere they could build solid foundations and keep up with school – and this has been exactly that. It’s structured but not overwhelming, and the consistency has helped our girls become more independent with their learning. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a bit of extra support.
