Arboricultural Association TECHNICIAN Member

: Martin. and the other contractctors that form our team, are professional and fully qualified Tree Surgeons. Based in Hexham we serve the local area of Northumberland to within a 20 mile radius of Hexham town. We have many great customers who are loyal to us, as we are to them in the area, so if you would like a reference for the type of work you are looking at getting done, we would be more than happy to provide them.

We are a small team, with broad experience in: All Aspects of Tree Surgery, from Aerial pruning to complete tree dismantles. Hedge Trimming, reductions & removal. Once a tree has been removed 'the stump' is an often neglected item, we have our own Stump Grinding equipment, to remove the tree stump and finish the job ready for an area to be replanted or turfed.

If you have a tree that has a TPO (Tree Preservation Order) against it or you live in a Conservation Area, we are very familiar with working with the planning departments in County Council's to submit the correct paperwork to obtain approval for works, prior to the commencement of a job.

We are not just in the business of 'chopping down trees' but planting them to. We are happy to work with you on a consultancy basis for projects, to recommend the right trees and shrubs for rural, urban & commercial sites. Have you ever thought of planting an orchard on that disused patch in your garden or 'that field' that is not much good for anything else? Come and talk to us...

Once a job is complete, we ensure that all waste is recycled at a local composting site.

We cut, split and season logs ready to be used as dry wood fuel in woodburning stoves, ranges and boilers, we sell by the dumpy bag (HWD 0.8m x 0.7m x 0.7m) & have a good selection of hardwood, softwood or mixed bags ready to be delivered, price available upon request.

Perfect in EVERY way

Fantastic job done, EXACTLY as I liked it, reliable, extremely knowledgeable, super friendly, polite, cleaning up leaving not a fallen leaf behind. I have used Matin before. I my opinion you can’t get any better service anywhere else. I agreed with Martin an annual ‘trim and tidy’ and look forward to next year. Thank you very much, Martin. 🙏🌲🌳🍃🌿🪾🪵

Excellent service high quality of work and completed exactly as arranged.

From my first contact with Zip Trees, I was impressed by Martin's professionalism. He followed up, exactly as we'd agreed, and offered a suitable date to accommodate my recent surgery. The tree stump removal was tricky and in a confined space but Martin maintained a clean site at all times and there was no damage to our lawn or surrounding plants. We consulted as the job went along so that, at the end, everything was done as I had asked for. The cleanliness of the site after the job was finished was exemplary. I was so happy with the overall service that I have booked Martin in for another, bigger job in a few weeks. If you need any tree work done in your garden, make sure you ask Zip Trees to have a look!

A really thorough job

5
Martin did a really thorough job in my garden - pollarding, lopping and hedge trimming - then chipping brash, cutting burnable wood into easily stored pieces, and finally clearing away all mess. All at a very competitive price. Couldn't have been more satisfied!
