Tutton Timber has been a family business since 1983, based at Shardelowes Farm, Gosfield, near Halstead on the site of a former Pig farm, originally breeding 1,500 swill fed pigs.

In 1983 the family pig breeding operation was closed. The numerous barns and outbuildings are now used to great effect as an extensive lumber yard.

Tutton Timber is now one of the most well known and respected timber suppliers in Essex and Suffolk.

The success of Tutton Timber is based on our ability to supply sawn timber – mainly green oak to customers exact specification.

By investing in advanced lumber sawing machinery, we are able to cope with the most demanding of timber frame building projects.

Neil recently took over the family business and vows to keep on being a key supplier of timber to the construction industry for many years to come.
