Rude staff at Dulwich Village branch

1
I am a local customer who visits and buys regularly. Despite this the ladies in the shop look through you as if you had bever been there. never mind they are just rude however this week rudeness crossed the line. Last saturday I returned to the shop a (not cheap) candle I bought for before Christmas which had a defect. I did not have receipt as I gave this as a gift and did not think could have such a defect. The ladies pushed me away saying that without a receipt they couldn’t do anything. At that point I said thank you for trying (not) and that they could keep the candle. The lady, to show empathy to the people listening in the shop, told me to come back on Wednesday, the shop manager could help. As I work I asked a friend of mine to go on my behalf. She has however been treated with rudeness and sent out without a replacement or exchange
Any decent shop takes full responsibility for the bad quality of what they sell. Not this one. Avoid if you have a choice.

Very poor customer service

1
This is the first negative review I have written but after visiting this shop on a number of occassions I have visited it for the last time. The service on each occassion I have visited has been appalling and on the last occassion my 10 year old daughter asked why the staff were so unfriendly. They sell nice things in a lovely location but it's not unique and I would rather spend my money elsewhere.

Disappointing customer service

1
While I have to agree that this store in Dulwich is a bit of a treasure trove, unfortunately the customer service of the staff whom I dealt with on Thursday 18 December in the store was appalling and in the end the only reason I bought and paid £193 for the items I'd selected rather than leave and take my money elsewhere was because I was pressed for time and had already spent an hour picking out the presents and gifts that I eventually bought. I told the two ladies at the till how I felt disappoint by their tone and attitude in dealing with me and it probably meant I'd make a complaint, share my experience with local friends and not shop there again. They showed no remorse and just stared at me in stony silence as they processed my transaction and neglected to give me a receipt. No apology, nothing! I am all for supporting smaller, more independent and local retailers but I certainly won't be shopping there again as a matter of principle. Utter rudeness.

A real treasure trove

4
This gift shop, located in Dulwich village, is a real little treasure trove. Ideal for finding presents and nick nacks for the home, it's well worth a browse, and I think it's pretty good value too, with products for every budget. In previous years they've had great Christmas ranges too, perfect for decorating your home and Christmas tree. They also have bits and bobs for children, the garden, and some pretty clothes as well. The Dulwich location is another bonus - a wander round the park, something to eat and then a browse in here makes for a lovely chilled out weekend.
