Mill Forge stands in the cobble-stone courtyard of Caudwell's Mill in Rowsley, Derbyshire; part of the Haddon Hall Estate in the Peak National Park. The chunky stone building which is the forge pre-dates the present mill and parts of the forge may date back to Tudor times when the first mill was mentioned in the Duke of Rutland's estate rentals.
Why not pay us a visit during the opening times of 10am to 5pm every day except Wednesdays. We are on the A6 about 3 miles from Bakewell and 5 miles from Matlock. Mill visits are also available, and lunches/refreshments etc. are served at the Country Parlour restaurant, after which you can enjoy a stroll and take in the fresh air and stunning scenery.
