The MIT's Scratch is probably the most well know development platform and it is our play-area for understanding the coding concepts we've learned so far.
We are exploring the insides of a computer, monitor or printer and their components.
We are using Lego Mindstorms, WooWee Robosapien, Zoomer dog, MaKey MaKey and other similar toy-robots in order to creatively mix the hardware knowledge with programming concepts
We are using the Code.org learning platform to discover basic programming concepts while building awesome games.
Computer Science is not only about computer time. With the Un-Plugged activities (offline games), we are developing valuable computer skills (problem solving, attention focusing and so on) away from the computer.
We are building simple websites using visual code editors like iWeb or WordPress in order to consolidate the basic programming concepts we've learn so far.

My Son Loves This Local IT Group!

I'm so pleased to have found this club! My son thoroughly enjoys the sessions and can't wait to share what he's learned with his friends. The robot building and looking at the hardware inside a computer were favourite sessions of his!

A family run business with a great atmosphere where children get to discover that computing is so much more than online games and face book. A great value for money. Highly recommended! :)
