I would not recommend Explore Learning for 11+ preparation based on our experience.

I would not recommend Explore Learning for 11+ preparation based on our experience.

Both of my children attended for around four years, including two years on the 11+ programme. Throughout that time, I was regularly told they were making good progress. However, when they sat their first mock tests, both scored below 50%, which came as a complete shock. At no point had I been told they were so far behind the expected standard.

After the results, I had several discussions with Explore Learning, but I saw little improvement. When I started helping my children more at home, I found they were still struggling with basic maths concepts, including percentages.

After four years of tuition and a significant financial commitment, their mock scores remain around 50–60%. I feel the positive feedback I received did not reflect their actual readiness for the 11+.

For our family, it was a considerable investment of time and money with disappointing results.
