We understand that getting better requires a strong commitment from both client and therapist which is why we do everything to make sure our team are fully focused on the task at hand and have the best tools and training to tackle your injury head on.

I have been entrenched in the world of sport and rehabilitation for most of my life in one way or another.

Raised in Whitehaven, Cumbria, I spent a lot of time scrambling, running, climbing and cycling through the Lakes before joining the army at 16. I quickly gravitated towards the Physical Training Corps where I was able to pursue my athletic interests while learning the trade of physical rehabilitation.

Competing in running, cycling and triathlon including completing a full ironman as well as gymnastics, kayaking, rock climbing, mountain biking, weight lifting, skiing etc I have a particularly broad understanding of the strain a variety of sports can have on the body which also enhances my insight into injuries caused by everyday life.

Having been a successful athlete myself with many coaching qualifications, my combined knowledge gained from recovering from my own injuries and surgery, helping soldiers recover from theirs as well as my interest in human anatomy drove me to pursue a career in physiotherapy. As a physio, I try my best to be a compassionate and patient therapist who will never give up and help you find strength you didn't know you had left.

Fuelled by a desire to help people truly improve their health, I decided to launch Compete Physio; making physiotherapy an empowering experience where clients are given the tools and support to push through their injuries and prevent future ones.
