ANTIQUARIAN HOROLOGISTS (Specialists in all antique clock restoration and conservation)

John Yealland FBHI and Associates, Members of LAPADA, BHI. Our restoration department was originally started in 1981.

Overhaul work is done entirely in the traditional manner, the clock being stripped down, pivots (or bearing surfaces) having wear removed from them and burnished, worn bearing holes bushed and other wear and faults corrected as necessary. All parts are then cleaned, assembled, lubricated and fully tested and regulated. We offer a collection and delivery and set-up service.

Casework, dial restoration, glass replacement, gilding and a number of other ancillary services are also offered.

The major clock categories that we cover are Longcase (Grandfather) Clocks, French Clocks, English Fusee Bracket and Dial Clocks, Viennese and South German Regulator Wall Clocks and English and French Carriage Clocks, including more complicated quarter striking work such as Grande-Sonnerie. We also specialise in Marine Chronometers and Barometers.

Four fully trained qualified staff.
