Basic Computing

Basic Computing provides friendly, patient computer lessons and digital skills support for beginners across Glasgow, Falkirk, Stirling and surrounding areas. We help people who want to feel more confident using laptops, desktop computers and everyday technology, whether they are starting from scratch, returning to work, supporting their independence, or simply tired of feeling left behind by constant digital changes.

We offer one-to-one computer lessons, group computer training, online support, help choosing the right computer, and support setting up new or used laptops and desktops. Lessons can cover Windows, email, internet browsing, files and folders, online forms, printing, video calls, passwords, online safety, scam awareness, basic settings and common day-to-day computer tasks.

Our service is especially suited to adults, older learners, people with additional support needs, community groups, charities, small organisations and anyone who would benefit from calm, clear and jargon-free support. We explain things in plain English, move at your pace, and focus on useful skills that make everyday life easier.

In-person sessions are available locally across the Central Belt, including Glasgow, Falkirk, Stirling and nearby towns. Online sessions are also available for learners outside our local area or anyone who prefers to learn from home.
