This modern interior Spanish restaurant serves various paellas and traditional dishes with a contemporary panache. The staff will suggest combination of dishes and are very helpful.

The decor is retro-modern with rosewood veneer behind upholstered banquettes in front of large picture windows. These give views of the charming shops and bars of Lamb's Conduit St.

I would recommend this kitchen-style local Chinese to anyone. Fast food as it should be: wholesome, flavoursome and cheap. Sit on high stools at counters and smile at the queue across the road for Wagamama where there eat worse for more and are uncomfortable into the bargain.

Here they serve mainly full plate meals rather than selection of dishes (although you can do either). This makes for speed and good portions.

Hot and sour soup is a real pick me up on a cold day. Dry-shredded chicken with noodles a tasty filler.

And 2 of you can always get in in my experience. And the staff are efficient and idiosyncratic - some are cheery others formal, but all are polite and very quick.
