We just moved in to a mid-80s bungalow in the sticks that had a seriously inefficient oil-fired Rayburn, a back boiler and gravity fed plumbing. Ian was out in a matter of days to look around and despite the July holidays was back with a quote in no time. We accepted his quote and he started 3 weeks later on a mid-August Monday morning.

He ripped out the Rayburn, disconnected the back boiler, replaced the hot water tank with a 210 litre pressurised unit, fitted a new oil boiler in the attached garage, fitted a new bunded oil tank and ran new oil pipe, and replaced 8 radiators. He was able to reuse the existing pipework, so we didn't even have to lift the carpet and the major plumbing was in the confines of the hotpress, which now has more room compared to before. He did a few other minor repairs (eg toilet valve was leaking due to the new pressure). All tidied up and done by Wednesday afternoon. Can't believe it only took 3 days.
