A while back, my external desktop hard drive suddenly became corrupt. It contained most of the work I had produced during my degree, and I *foolishly* hadn't backed it up anywhere else (I know...)After approaching other companies that offer a recovery services in Cardiff, I received disappointing replies. I then found Cardiff Computers, who were able to give my a rough quote for the cost of repair on the phone, and take my hard drive in that day.Within days, I had a phone call with the company and they explained the situation – my hard drive had mechanical faults. The company then were able to restore nearly all of the data (over 1.5TB) from the hard drive, and transfer it onto a new one I'd bought. This whole process took a few weeks to complete. Once it had done, I received a text message saying I could collect them both.The resulting payment fell within the quote on the phone, and cost only £60 (inc. VAT). The service was helpful and polite, and I was given advice on how to help avoid this happening to my hard drive in future.I would happily use their service again (although, I hope not to have to!) and fully trust their expertise. I recommend!
