Editing the content on your Yell Business Profile Page is simple with our self service Edit My Business tool. Access Edit My Business


To update the content on your Yell.com Profile Page, log in to your Yell Business Account and select ‘manage your profile page’. This will take you our self service Edit My Business tool.


About My Business



It’s important your customers can quickly and easily establish who you are, what you do and what sets you apart from your competitors. This is where you can provide key detailed information. You can enter up to 1000 characters in the description text area and you can see how much room you have left by looking at the counter underneath.



This area of your Business Information Page is dedicated to displaying whatever your current offer is, giving a clear and strong reason for people searching on Yell.com to contact your business. You can enter up to 180 characters in the description text area and you can see how much room you have left by looking at the counter underneath.


Services & Products

In this area you can list out the different services that your company offers. Pick from our suggested services or add your own.  You can also edit and reorder your currently displayed services. To pick a service click on the plus next to the suggested list on the left, if you would like to add your own scroll to the bottom of the list and fill in the form at the bottom. You can choose up to 40 services. Once you are happy with your changes remember to click save at the bottom of the page.


If you would like to edit an existing service then either double click on it in the right column or click on the pencil icon that appears when you hover over it, once you are happy with the change click on the tick icon. If you wish to delete a service hover over the one you want to delete and click the cross icon that appears.


Opening Hours

Setting your opening hours is easy. All you need to do is drag the start and end sliders to the correct times. If you happen to be closed at any point in the day simply click ‘Add break’ and a set of sliders will appear in between allowing you to set your closed period.


You can easily set yourself open 24hrs or closed by clicking the links below each day’s slider. If you’re open the same times most days it’s easy to duplicate that time across the week by clicking ‘repeat all week’.


We have provided some common presets at the top of the page that will automatically set up a week’s worth of opening hours that you can then adjust to your needs.


If you prefer not to show any opening hours simply click the link to the top right ‘I don’t want to show opening hours’ and all the sliders will be greyed out.


Payment Methods

Selected payment methods are marked with a tick, if you wish to toggle the payment methods you accept simply click on them in the list and then click save when you’re happy with your selection.


Social Media Links

Do you have a company Facebook page, a Twitter account or do you sell items on eBay or Amazon in a store. If you do add the URLs to these pages here and we will add links to your advert pushing more traffic to these areas.



In Edit My Business you can add, edit and delete photos on your listing as well as change the order they appear.

To upload an image click on the upload a photo box at the top of the page then pick the image you wish to upload. You will then get taken to a page to show you your uploaded image and allow you to add a title and description.

If you want to delete an image simply click on it in the gallery and then click on the delete button.

If you want to reorder your images simply drag and drop the image in the gallery into the position you want and then click save.



Contact details


These features are only available for customers with a paid listing on Yell.com


Business Name

Enter the name of your business here, this will appear at the top of your listing. This cannot be longer than 70 characters.



To enter your address you can use our address lookup service. Just enter your postcode and/or your house number and hit find address and will find your fall address details. If for some reason your address is not found you can still enter your address manually.


Email Address

Enter your email address here, so that we can let your customers email you using our listing contact form.



Choose the preset that best suits the telephone number that you are entering eg. Tel, Mobile. If you cannot find one that suitably describes your number then choose the custom option at the bottom and add in your own in the input that appears below. The telephone number must be a UK based number.

These items are only relevant to Yell advert capsules


Bullet Points

You have the choice of what kind of content you want to appear in the main part of your listing, a short paragraph or a set of bullet points. Click to select which one you would prefer then fill in the form below.

If you choose bullet points you must have a minimum of 3 entered but no more than 6, if you choose free text then you can write up to 180 characters.



Your current classification is shown at the top of the page. If you wish to change your classification you can use the form below to search what classifications are available and pick the one you would prefer.

Please note: classifications vary in terms of price. Changes to your classification may result in an additional cost. If this is the case we will contact you prior to making the change.


Location or Coverage

Your current coverage/location is shown at the top of the page. To change this will require a conversation with a member of customer services, fill in the form on the page with a description of the change you would like to make and we will contact you shortly.

Please note: locations vary in terms of price. Changes to your location may result in an additional cost. If this is the case we will contact you prior to making the change.



Enter the link to your website here, the link must contain the http:// or https:// prefix. If you wish to test that the link you entered is correct click check link to view it in a new window. The URL should be to your company’s homepage e.g: http://www.yell.com.



What does ‘Are you sure you want to leave this page’ message mean?

If you make changes to a section and then try to navigate away from the page without first saving this message will appear. This message gives you the option to either stay on the page so you can save your changes or continue to navigate away and lose all your changes.
