ZIP TREES LTD are professional and fully qualified Tree Surgeons. Based in Hexham we serve the local area of Northumberland to within a 20 mile radius of Hexham town. We have many great customers who are loyal to us, as we are to them in the area, so if you would like a reference for the type of work you are looking at getting done, we would be more than happy to provide them.

We are a small team, with broad experience in: All Aspects of Tree Surgery, from Aerial pruning to complete tree dismantles. Hedge Trimming, reductions and traditional hedge laying - reviving a dying art! Once a tree has been removed 'the stump' is an often neglected item, we have our own Stump Grinding equipment, to remove the tree stump and finish the job ready for an area to be replanted or turfed.

If you have a tree that has a TPO (Tree Preservation Order) against it or you live in a Conservation Area, we are very familiar with working with the planning departments in County Council's to submit the correct paperwork to obtain approval for works, prior to the commencement of a job.

We are not just in the business of 'chopping down trees' but planting them to. We are happy to work with you on a consultancy basis for projects, to recommend the right trees and shrubs for rural, urban & commercial sites. Have you ever thought of planting an orchard on that disused patch in your garden or 'that field' that is not much good for anything else? Have you seen the price of fruit in the supermarkets these days! Come and talk to us...

Once a job is complete, we ensure that all waste is recycled at a local composting site.

We cut, split and season logs ready to be used as dry wood fuel in woodburning stoves, ranges and boilers, we sell by the dumpy bag (HWD 0.8m x 0.7m x 0.7m) & have a good selection of hardwood, softwood or mixed bags ready to be delivered, price available upon request.

I have used ZIP TREES as my GO-TO sub contracting company for years now.I have personally had many bad experiences in the past but Zip Trees has proven to me that there are still reliable contractors out there. I have used ZIP TREES on several occasions, every time left with 110% satisfaction.

Top Quality care taken when on site, a great knowledge and understanding of the trees and surroundings as well as respecting clients needs and wishes.Punctuality is a must for me and ZIP TREES has never let me down in this department, always on time for the start of contractual work and happy to carry out extra if needed.

If your needing a Qualified Tree surgeon for the work to be carried out professionally and safely ZIP TREES should be your GO-TO tree surgery company.cannot recommend highly enough. 5 STARS

awkward job -professionally done

5
We had a pretty big willow which needed some sensitive pollarding. It was awkward to tackle and was close to some power/phone lines as well.
Martin tackled the job very methodically, carefully and professionally; always willing to explain what he was doing and why.
In my opinion he went above and beyond what was needed and despite the job taking longer than planned he honoured his original quote.
Needless to say we're getting him back for some more work we need doing

Competent and competitive

5
This guy had a tough job with a 20-foot high privet hedge and some barb-wired entangled elder trees that had overgrown and had become wrapped in it and were growing through our fence. He was fastidiously careful not to damage it further or upset the neighbours and he fell over to please my wife who changed her mind a couple of times about what she wanted and worked well into the twilight to do the job over 3-days. Had all the right kit and gave my wife boxes of chips from the shredder to spread on the soil. Super eco-friendly and a great price for the job - a competitor wanted more just to take the waste away if WE cut it down!
