The World's Most Inspiring Musical Instrument Store

Starting out life as Chappell of Bond Street (originally at 50 New Bond Street in Mayfair, London), Yamaha Music London is Yamaha's flagship retail store in Europe, set on London's historic Wardour Street (just a minute's walk from Oxford Street).

Three floors house an impressive collection of Yamaha musical instruments and supporting items, as well as Europe's largest sheet music department.

The store is well-served by public transport, with Oxford Circus and Tottenham Court Road London Underground stations just minutes away and various bus routes calling at Oxford Street.

The online store offers an even greater range of instruments, gear and equipment for delivery throughout the UK and Ireland.

Reviews

Excellent service. Great products.

Ordered some ampeg bass pedals with Pars aka Krunch via email. He kept in touch with updates throughout the whole process and goods arrived dead on time as promised. Would certainly use Pars and Yamaha again.

Pretty good, smart shop, not ludicrous prices

I've bought music, a music stand, a metronome and a tenor sax here.

Prices are not big-London store expensive, except for the list price on the sax, but they happily price-matched a competitor.

Setup on the sax wasn't good, but whilst it's taken a while to sort they've been keen to please, and offered a replacement.

I'm not likely to buy a grand piano for £80k, but the upstairs showroom is worth a visit just for being such a fantastic space.

I visit pretty regularly and have not had issues described by other reviewers

Disappointing

1
I have ordered an instrument online which turned out to be defective. I called the store and they have said “return if you find a way to send it back to us”, without even informing me how risky it is and that they offer they own pick up service. My instrument was stolen by Hermes courier on the way back, and Hermes did not pay insurance compensation. So very disappointing overall. Do not recommend.

Awful service

1
Staff are constantly annoyed and unfriendly which is unbelievable considering they are supposed to sell pianos worth several thousands of pounds.
