Worsley Sports Club based in the heart of Worsley offers a variety of sports and family activities that the entire family will enjoy. We have everything you could want for an exciting and entertaining experience.

We are passionate about being active and staying healthy, and we want our members to be too. Whether you enjoy Tennis, Cricket, Croquet, Bowls or J13 Fitness our central aim is to offer something for the entire community to enjoy.

The main club house is members privileged, meaning that anyone is welcome into the bar but social members and playing members receive discounted pricing. We also feature our Sutherland Suite function room with 130 capacity, we cater for all types of celebration. We can offer in-house catering or we allow you to provide your own catering for a small surcharge.

Brilliant party venue - perfect for my husband’s 50th.
Lots of space & flexibility with tables etc to get the perfect layout.
Also options for a late bar, buffet or you can do your own food.

Jed was brilliant, very helpful from start to finish, nothing was too much trouble.
Bar staff on the night were fantastic, really fast and friendly.

Everyone had a great night so thank you!
I’ll be back for my big birthday in a couple of years.
Highly recommended!

We recently held a line dance social event at the Ellesmere Sports Club and it was a great success. Ged and the chef were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. They handled all our special requests and looked after us very well. We had rave reviews after the event and we will definitely be back again soon.

GED, Simon and his team were amazing for our family funeral. Ged was so kind and helpful with all the details . Simon’s food was lovely and good quality and went down really well. The venue worked so well and what was a very emotional day ended with a lovely vibe. Thankyou so much x

We had our son’s 18th birthday party here. Ged was amazing in helping with anything we needed. The staff were all great and we had a fab night. Would definitely recommend the ellesmere sports club.

OUTSTANDING!! What a beautiful venue. We had our wedding venue here on Easter weekend and what a day night it was. GED and all the staff were brilliant and very helpful. Looking for a venue this is the place to book we will be booking again In the future. GED thanks for everything

I had my 21st here last week and I can’t recommend the place enough ! It was such a brilliant night ! The owner was very helpful and contactable all the way through when arranging the decorations and layout of the room. The staff on the night were lovely and polite and very quick with making drinks too . All my friends and family said how lovely the place and the people working were. Would highly recommend to everyone and I will definitely be using this space again !
