Woodys Sandwich Bar

Went in today for a baguette and drink as i have been recommended this place for ages and I was not disappointed- even left with a scrumptious biscoff brownie🤭. The staff were all welcoming and friendly and everyone was socially distanced. A real Sheffield gem - don’t wait to go!

Without doubt the best range of value for money sandwiches in the best sandwich shop in Sheffield period.From the legendary "FULL MONTY"breakfast sandwich to over 80 handmade sandwiches on freshly baked Baguettes with fillings including Crayfish & Rocket,Advacado,pecorino,black olives,to the wonderful "BIG BOY"with roast turkey,roast ham,cured bacon,mature cheddar,vine tomatoes , Iceberg lettuce & mayo.....no wonder there queing out of the door at weekends,at times it's like a who's who with high profile local musicians & sports stars.

Located on Sheffield student central, Ecclesall Road, Woody's Sandwich Bar is bound to be busy, but the presence of undergrads and young professionals is not the only reason for the shops popularity.

There's an excellent range of fillings and breads; just take a look at the chalkboard on the shop's wall and you'll be happy that the queue is out the door, as you'll need quite a while to make your choice.

A personal favourite of mine is the uber-healthy chicken, bacon, cheese, lettuce and mayonnaise, as well as a simple brie and apple - but I always go with ciabatta as the bread of choice.

With such variety you'd be forgiven for thinking that you'll need to pay through the nose, but the prices are extremely competitive and often you'll barely pay £2.00 for a generous serving of sandwich.

Easily one of the best sandwich bars in Sheffield.
